Movember update 🧔🏻

We are now halfway through November, which means only 11 more days to go to grow moustaches of all shapes, sizes and awkwardness whilst raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues (such as prostate cancer, suicide, etc). The movement #Movember, which started back in 2003, has grown into a global phenomenon while having racked up more than 2.1 million posts on Instagram.

  • The Movember movement has some great success stories worldwide. For instance, Daniel Veiras, former military reservist and current firefighter, has pointed out how it is a fact that military personnel and first responders are more at risk for mental health issues and PTSD than the general population, however, the last decade has seen a positive change.

“There’s been a shift from the old school ‘man up’ & ‘tough it out’ mentality that pervaded earlier military generations and was accentuated through Hollywood. We’re in a period right now, in my experience, where more and more people are comfortable talking about their mental health and encouraging others to do the same”

Conversations are opening up and it is great to see! If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s to make sure people around you are always okay. Remember, it’s ok to not be ok. Climax Live is proud to support such a great cause and we have 100 lads growing their moustaches to raise vital funds. Were not to far from halfway of our £5000 target. So, if you are interested in making a difference, here is the link to DONATE.  Thank you! x
